I’ve always been fascinated by the ocean. I love the water and all the adventures and mysteries it holds. My journey into diving began in 2011 and I never looked back. It has been and continues to be a grand adventure and source of great joy. I started teaching because the aquatic world is too marvelous not to share. Diving and training divers are more than just a hobby or business, they are my passion, and I am very excited to share this world with anyone who wants to learn. I personally have just completed full cave and have a passion for traveling around the world to dive.

Having grown up in the Canadian Rockies, I never even dipped a toe into an ocean until I was 17. Nevertheless, I was always passionate about water sports, particularly white water rafting and kayaking in icy Canadian waters. I got my PADI Open Water certification in July 2019 and put it out into the universe that I wanted to find the ultimate dive buddy. A month later, I met Brent at a Down Under Diver’s Club Event at Fantasy Lake. While warm water reef diving is amazing, what really gets my heart racing is wrecks, turtles and pink dive gear. The Graveyard of the Atlantic is my happy place. I recently crossed over and became a NAUI Dive Master. Come learn to dive with us. I am proof that it can literally change your life.

As a retired United States Marine, I found myself needing something to do to keep myself occupied. Needless to say a couple of years later, I found another one of my passions under water. From flying around the world, to diving in the deep blue sea, I love adventures and love the thrill. Not only the thrill of diving, but teaching the next generation of divers a passion that I fell in love with.

Chris started diving over 15 years ago. Since then, Chris has decided to get back into diving full time. Not only does he dive full time, Chris is also one of our certified technicians who can pretty much fix anything that comes his way. More then likely, come to the shop, he will either be in the store or just left recently left for a quick trip to Lowe's. Chris is a Army Veteran and will be attending instructor school soon! But when Chris is actually not in the shop, he is in the water diving! If you notice, he will probably be diving a full face mask if he's not with students! See Chris around and say hi!

Gust was born and rasied in Ohio. Gust enlisted in the Marine Corps and prior to departing his active duty service, he found himself staying in the local area. Little did he know he was going to find himself being apart of a diveshop consdiering he had 0 intentions in doing so. Gust currently serves the role as an active divemaster for Divin' Dawgs as well as fixes anything IT related. If he's not at his "real" job, you will probably find Gust behind the counter on the computer or on the sales floor.
Gust will be attending instructor school this fall.
Come by and see Gust!

By day, Dedan is a Network Engineer. In his spare time, he lives and breathes scuba diving: an addiction that was born in 1996. After 21 years of diving some great places and a whole lot of not so great ones, he became an independent PADI instructor and Master Scuba Diver Trainer. When a couple of his friends had the crazy but yet most enjoyable idea to get into the dive shop business, he decided to cross over and teach specialties for them. Dedan is currently one of our many instructors we have here at Divin' Dawgs
